OTIS – Vertical Tales is Økapi’s new live show, taken from the illustrated music album of the same name released by Folderol Records
It is a tribute to the inventor of the lift, Otis Elisha Graves, and to the device that has revolutionised urban horizons and set infinite narratives since the mid-19th century. For this live performance, ØKAPI deconstructs sounds and, for the first time, images from the most disparate sources and recomposes them in a multi-tempo suite. An exceptional lift operator, ØKAPI takes the viewer on a vertical, mental journey from the ground floor to the 15th floor of an imaginary building.
