Le classique c’est chic! is a project platform that was created with the aim of decolonising the imagery surrounding the technique of academic classical dance, with the desire to provide as many people as possible with tools for understanding and taking ownership of their bodies.
The path undertaken over the years has led the choreographer to empty classical technique of everything that has to do with an aesthetic attitude as an end in itself and to focus on the relationships that it activates within the body and on the dynamics of shifting weight in space. Above all, the choreographer aims to overturn the relationship she proposes with her own body: from an endless battle to make it adhere as closely as possible to an aesthetic model, to the use of this technique as a tool for understanding the body and its possibilities.
