The myth of Atlantis is the starting point for a narrative around the concept of “liquid identity”, which reflects the artist’s personal history
The myth of Atlantis is characterised by a rich tradition of interpretations linked to historical time and a specific Mediterranean narrative, to which the artist intends to add the concept of ‘liquid identity’: an identity that is not based on a fixed race or nation, but rather as a process that is in a constant state of fluid transformation. This concept resonates deeply with the artist’s personal history born in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, an entity that has been reshaping and shifting its physical and ideological borders ever since.
