PERFORMATIVE 06video works, photographs and musical scores
MAXXI L’Aquila
free admittance
your ticket becomes a wristband valid for all three days of PERFORMATIVE 06 on first entry: you’ll be able to access the various events on the programme without needing a new booking for each performance or day, subject to availability.
On Saturday and Sunday, PERFORMATIVE 06 also becomes an exhibition venue.
It’s not just performances that await you at the Museum during the Festival weekend. On Saturday and Sunday, the spaces of Palazzo Ardinghelli will host unmissable works.
Such as 800m by Vladimir Nikolić, a work that reflects on the contemporary perception of space and time, whilst a single swimmer – the artist himself – is filmed from above as he swims lap after lap. Or the room dedicated to photographs from the archive of the Living Theatre, the company founded in New York in 1947 by Judith Malina and Julian Beck. And then there is A Proposal for a New International Genuflexion in Promotion of World Peace, Jimmie Durham’s iconic video, in which the artist proposes a universal gesture of peace, capable of transcending geographical and ethnic boundaries.
All you have to do is choose – or experience it all.
