The Eccezione stage is ready and we can finally reveal the full Summer programme at MAXXI L’Aquila with an unmissable day of art and music

Take part in the opening ceremony of the summer events season and enjoy the evening organised by the Pinewood Festival!
At the same time as the presentation in Piazza Santa Maria Paganica, the courtyard of Palazzo Ardinghelli will be hosting .0 by Danilo Bucchi, a video that can be accessed via QR code, in which an invisible hand draws the anthropomorphic figures so dear to the artist and also featured in Volume V.15, 2023 – a sculptural work also featured at the same time in the museum courtyard.

The big star of the summer season is the Eccezione stage, a temporary structure designed and built by a group of students from the Building Engineering – Architecture course at the University of L’Aquila, led by architect Giuseppe Grant. The central theme of the installation is play intended as an opportunity for new relationships between people and the square. The Eccezione stage lends itself to various uses: it is not just a skate ramp, a stage for events, or a stairway, but a structure capable of accommodating the free interpretations that people will wish to give it.
