A coming-of-age novel, the story of a sentimental and civic education rendered with a realistic style and a strong, expressive language.
May 2015. After five years of study in Trento, Vittorio returns to L’Aquila to write his thesis and spend some time with old friends. However, what seemed to be a period of tranquillity soon forces him to come to terms with two ghosts from his recent past that can no longer be avoided: the 2009 earthquake and the end of his relationship with Silvia.
At 3.32 a.m. on 6 April 2009, their lives were shattered by the earthquake: this was the start of a slow drift of misunderstandings and silences, which led the two young people to experience the civic protests against the lack of reconstruction with increasingly distant attitudes. Like so many others, their story ends amid mutual misunderstandings and a future to be reinvented on the basis of incompatible desires and aspirations.
