Slam poetry, notes, gestures: you choose where to stop and watch.

On Sunday, PERFORMATIVE 06 begins anew with words, videos, performances, and sound. The final day of the Festival, dedicated to contemporary creativity, starts early and brings our long weekend to a splendid close.

Once again today, the Museum’s spaces are filled with activities – the corte, the camino hall and the voliera hall, the multi-purpose and video halls, and Piazza Santa Maria Paganica – there is so much to discover and share.

Highlights range, for example, from Bedirhan Dehmen’s dance piece, curated by Silvia Di Gregorio, in The Conference of the Birds, loosely based on the poem of the same name by Farid al-Din ‘Attar, taking the audience on a symbolic journey exploring themes of identity, power and the collective ability to forge alliances; to Valerio Aprea’s paradoxical monologue, The (real) problem with this country, in which he stages a surreal quest to uncover the cause of Italy’s ills. Then, Vittorio Montalti, Giulio Colangelo & Stefania Ballone, alongside Eugenia Brezzi, in Lascaux, combine dance, electronic music, and lighting in an immersive experience that evokes the origins of art as a ritual and collective practice.
