Inspired by Dadaism and ready-made art, Paola Pivi uses photography, sculpture, performance and installation to invite us to transcend the boundaries of the concrete and open ourselves up to unusual visions.

As part of the exhibition True Colors. Textiles: movement, colors and identity, artist Paola Pivi talks to Monia Trombetta, curator of the exhibition, to explore the themes that define her work. One example is her work Share, but it’s not fair, on display in the Voliera hall: the installation consists of about four hundred cushions made from Tibetan monks’ robes, whose repetition, like embroidery suspended in the air, leads to reflections on the individual, the community and self-knowledge.
