Mary Gehnyei, born in Rome of Liberian origins, began her musical adventure as a vocalist in some of the best clubs in Italy, working alongside various DJs, while amateurishly collecting vinyls with which she discovered she had a very strong bond. If at first it was just a desire to buy them, it then became an ongoing quest to play them and share them with others.
Thus was born the artist we know as Mary Gehnyei, a female DJ with an interesting and eclectic musical background, where various influences converge, from Hip Hop to Detroit Techno.
Every night and every experience she has had has marked her musical taste and her artistic growth, from exciting nights in Rome, including an important experience at the Goa Club, to challenging herself doing warm ups to iconic DJs such as Andrew Weatherall, and K-Hand, the latter being a great source of inspiration for her.
