A brilliant, lively and visionary account of the art world in Italy between ‘68 and the end of the 1970s.

The documentary, produced and distributed by Luce Cinecittà, is the brainchild of the director and curator and art critic Ludovico Pratesi. The film tells the story of an era in which Italy was one of the global driving forces behind a new way of interpreting the world, social rules and relationships through art.

A journey that unfolds through the stories and images of some of the names that have made and continue to make contemporary history: Marina Abramovic, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Andy Warhol, Luigi Ontani, Pino Pascali, Alighiero Boetti, Jannis Kounellis and Joseph Beuys. Internationally renowned gallerists with epic tales, such as Lia Rumma and Fabio Sargentini. It is an impressive collection of film, visual and photographic archives, from institutions, museums, galleries and collectors, still able to astonish for their beauty, provocation and creative vitality.

The screening on Saturday 5 March is preceded by a presentation.
