Performance and that which brings the body into play by forcing its expressiveness in various directions: body resistance, sacred body, political body, anthropic body, mythical body, ecological body, actions and poses in which the presence of the physical body is fundamental. The talk aims to analyse the evolution of performance from traditional bodily expression to more abstract and dematerialised forms. While classical performance is based on the direct and physical use of the body, new technologies and virtual realities are leading to the emergence of the ‘body.0’, a representation of the body that exists without a tangible physical presence. This talk explores this change and its implications for artistic and cultural performance.
