Fabio Mauricurated by Maurizio Cattelan and Marta Papini

An exhibition marked by an influential curatorial signature paying tribute to Fabio Mauri, a central figure in Italian art and thought in the twentieth century, on the centenary of his birth.

The exhibition traces the twenty years between 1979 and 1999, when Mauri taught Aesthetics of Experimentation at the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila. The works conceived and staged during those years are the heart of the exhibition and highlight the link between his artistic research, the city and its inhabitants.

On the centenary of his birth (1926–2009), the exhibition offers an opportunity to explore a fundamental chapter in the artist’s career.
