An opportunity to walk together, establish new relationships and experience part of Angelo Bellobono’s research path.
Following the Linea 1201 residency programme, Angelo Bellobono continues his research on the paths of the Apennines, experimenting with new approaches to the act of walking and weaving new relationships.
On the occasion of the exhibition Mappa Appennino, a pictorial account of the artist’s high-altitude adventures, Angelo Bellobono invites us to share part of his journey with him, through two excursions in the mountainous surroundings of L’Aquila.

meeting point in San Martino d’Ocre at the headquarters of the Polisportiva San Martino, with ample parking in Piazza San Martino.
Packed lunch or it is also possible to eat at the refuge. An easy hike of 300 metres altitude difference and about 3.250 km (6.5 km round trip) with a mountain guide, in just over an hour.
Comfortable layered clothing, hiking shoes, fleece, windproof/rainproof jacket, small backpack with one litre of water, spare T-shirt, snacks, cream, sunglasses, hat for both sun and wind (due to the altitude it may be colder). Hiking poles are recommended.
