Five photographers report on unedited adventures at five major construction sites around the world.
The exhibition Di roccia, fuochi e avventure sotterranee presents the photographic projects of five authors commissioned to photograph five major infrastructure projects around the world. Commissioned by Ghella, a company specialised in underground excavations, over 120 images in the exhibition were taken between 2019 and 2020 at five construction sites in Europe, the Far East and Oceania.
In dialogue with the curator of the exhibition, the five artists meet the public to discuss their works, which are part of a historical tradition of documenting large engineering projects and consist of a series of creative explorations of tunnel construction, taking us on a journey into contemporary Italian photography.
