The body as a place of involuntary, painful and uncontrollable change, and the difficulty of finding one’s place in the world and one’s true identity
A film (Switzerland 2017, 97′) that cannot leave one indifferent, making the spectator experience every step of the transformation that the protagonist goes through. A film that engages the senses, bringing them all into contact with the fluidity and smoothness of the element of water, and that makes us reflect on the evolution of our belonging as a species.
The concept of metamorphosis is also strongly present in the works of Agnes Questionmark, part of the exhibition Night Diary. Of dreams, nightmares and imaginary bestiaries. The artist, who defines herself as a trans-species, puts transformation and evolution at the core of her expression.
