An intimate journey with Isabella Ducrot, between art and memory
When Isabella Ducrot, born Antonia Mosca, began to devote herself to art at the age of fifty-five, no one, least of all herself, could have imagined that today, at the age of ninety, she would become an artist sought after by major galleries around the world.
Tenga duro signorina! Isabella Ducrot Unlimited follows her for two years, between international successes and private revelations, offering a counterpoint to the story of the renowned, self-taught artist, far removed from academia, with a portrait of a woman who lived through the 20th century to finally reveal to us that ‘a happy life begins at 60!
Turbante/Turban (2024), Isabella Ducrot’s 18-metre work, has found a home in the MAXXI Collection and can be seen in the fireplace room of Palazzo Ardinghelli, as part of the True Colors exhibition.
