From creation to conservation: a day exploring the art of textiles.

The curatorial approach of the True Colors exhibition was an invitation to keep metaphorical and material threads constantly intertwined. Weaving, sewing, cutting, mending, patching and dyeing are concrete actions, but also images that help us reflect on how we inhabit the world and the relationships we forge, both human and non-human. It was from this exchange between artistic work, thought and materiality that the project for a study day emerged, in which cultural and material knowledge could be shared, involving artists and professionals in the conservation and restoration of textiles.
