danceSilvia GribaudiEstratti | SUSPENDED CHORUS
MAXXI L’Aquila, courtyard, stairs, Voliera Hall
Free entry, subject to capacity
A work emerging from SUSPENDED CHORUS — her latest work exploring the relationship between the individual body and the collective body.
In this version Silvia Gribaudi reimagines the piece for unconventional spaces, stripped of theatrical staging. She offers a curated sequence of moments that draw the spectator into a choreographed encounter that is poetic, political, and deeply necessary.
The performance becomes a shared space of cohabitation between performer and audience — a place where viewers may transform into a suspended, floating, plural chorus, becoming an essential part of the work itself.
Estratti | SUSPENDED CHORUS deconstructs modern ideals of beauty and reveals the body’s mortality as an individual entity, while celebrating the strength and power of the collective — a way to rehearse being part of a plural chorus, a living metaphor for the societies we shape together.
