The story of the Abruzzese master Ettore Spalletti, his daily life, his art and the unbreakable bond with his land.

The documentary recounts two years in the private and professional life of the great artist who died in 2019. Simply by turning the cameras on his daily life, the secret of the profound relationship between Ettore Spalletti and his work is revealed, made up of the landscape that surrounds him and his constantly-open dialogue with the absolute. A not-so-authorised insight into an artist who has always kept well away from the clamour of the international art mainstream, in order not to take time and concentration away from the more subtle variations of light in the places of his life, such as the pastures of the Campo Imperatore plateau in Abruzzo and the ancient Benedictine abbeys of the region, including the extraordinary San Clemente in Castiglione di Casauria.

The public will also be able to visit the work Colonna nel vuoto, L’Aquila, conceived and created by the great Abruzzese master specifically for the Museum.

The screening on Saturday 26 February will be preceded by a presentation talk, in the presence of Patrizia Leonelli Spalletti
