The Dolce lotta/Agorà L’Aquila project, conceived by choreographer Virgilio Sieni and produced by MAXXI L’Aquila in collaboration with Il Jazz italiano per le terre del sisma, entails several choreographic actions involving members of the public in different parts of the city. It is also a preview of Performative, the new performing arts festival currently being organised by the Museum in the capital city of the Abruzzo region for mid September, in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila.
Dolce lotta invites the public to reflect on the connection between body and place and to find a renewed sense of community in the artistic practice.
The choreographic action will be accompanied by Roberto Cecchetto’s guitar and created with a group of people alternating outdoor performances and rehearsals in the Voliera Hall of MAXXI L’Aquila.

How to take part
Participants must book the experience by filling in the online form via this link before 26 August 2021 (parents’ authorisation needed for participants under 18).
In order to ensure a good outcome, we advise being available for all the rehearsal dates in the schedule as well as the public performance.
The workshops will be carried out in full compliance with preventative measures, under the Law Decree of 22 April 2021.
