The importance of independent spaces in understanding how the contemporary art world in Abruzzo is being reorganized
The first appointment of the Glocal Art series of meetings is dedicated to contemporary art spaces in Abruzzo, which are increasingly taking on characteristics of cultural garrisons in peripheral and marginal areas where innovative languages can be promoted in a context outside conventional systems. They pose as spaces in continuous transformation and, whether they are established like 16 Civico or born in the post-pandemic period like Celeste, they are conceived and managed by artists in dialogue with other national and international artists in a search for meanings and experiences far from the star system.
