In this work by Hassan Khan the ritual of clapping hands accompanies political references like the street protests that took place after the coup in Egypt in 2013, referred to in the title. Like a collective force, the sound of hands clapping recorded along with a string quartet and electronic music, takes on the weight and the price of transformations and social revolts, the fruit of tension and injustice, suggesting new paths for freedom and hope.
