A critical and passionate reflection on the role of architecture in contemporary society.
The research of Spartaco Paris, architect and full professor of Technological and Environmental Architectural Design at Sapienza University of Rome, focuses on the relationships between design, technological innovation and the built environment.
Drawing on his recent book, the talk explores why a discipline as central to collective life as architecture is currently experiencing a period of confusion and marginalisation. “What kind of architecture do we want, and for whom?” is the question that the various speakers involved – drawn from the world of design, but also from the more purely creative sphere of contemporary art – will seek to answer together with the audience.
