The evil Ming, ruler of the planet Mongo, decides to attack Earth, devastating it through supposed “natural disasters”. Scientist Zarkov, having foreseen everything long ago, sets off in a rocket he built himself, together with famous football player Flash Gordon and journalist Dale Arden, who happened to be there by chance. It is the fortuitous presence of the heroic Flash Gordon that saves our planet, defeating the tyrannical emperor played by Max Von Sydow.
