While the countries of the Horn of Africa navigate the challenges of their complex histories, they simultaneously exhibit remarkable energy and determination to build a future grounded in an awareness of their shared colonial past.
From the devastation of Mogadishu, to the very rapid transformation of Addis Ababa, to the conscious preservation of Asmara, different approaches to this architectural and urban heritage emerge, which in all respects can be defined as a shared heritage.
The exhibition wants to pay tribute to the legacy of the Italian project activity, to the many stories of people and professionals who have contributed to the creation of this heritage, to reconsider it in the light of new knowledge and new sensibilities.
