{"id":18266,"date":"2026-06-08T17:44:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-08T15:44:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maxxilaquila.art\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=18266"},"modified":"2026-06-08T18:05:09","modified_gmt":"2026-06-08T16:05:09","slug":"brahms-rota","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/maxxilaquila.art\/en\/event\/brahms-rota\/","title":{"rendered":"Brahms &#038; Rota"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><span style=\"color: #bc982f;\">Nino Rota\u2019s elegant and dramatic style meets the lyrical depth of Johannes Brahms.<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Spanning the Italian 20th century and the height of German Romanticism, two works united by an extraordinary expressive intensity come together.<\/p>\n<p>Composed in 1958 by Rota, the <em>Trio for Flute, Violin and Piano<\/em> reveals with crystalline elegance the composer\u2019s dual nature: the refinement of academic counterpoint is interwoven with that cantabile, airy and slightly ironic vein that runs through his entire oeuvre. The dialogue between the flute and violin weaves melodies of crystalline transparency, supported by a piano that at times accompanies discreetly, at others asserts itself with luminous solo passages.<\/p>\n<p>Composed in 1865 shortly after his mother\u2019s death, the <em>Trio Op. 40<\/em> is one of the most distinctive works in the Romantic chamber music repertoire. Brahms deliberately chose the natural horn, known as the Waldhorn, rather than the modern valved horn, seeking that ancient, velvety and wild timbre capable of evoking the forests and landscapes of his youth in Hamburg.
