Two days of workshops led by choreographer and dancer Marco Torrice to prepare the 14th September performance that will get everyone dancing.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Melting Pot<\/em> is a dance practice born with the idea of facilitating dialogue between dancers of different styles. It is a space where people can express their emotions, such as joy, anger, sensuality and social frustration. It also helps movement enthusiasts of all genders build their self-esteem and overcome shyness through a sense of unity and togetherness. Rhythm is very important in Melting Pot<\/em>, as it takes on the function of a \u2018communication bridge\u2019 and helps increase the sense of community.<\/p>\n

Melting Pot <\/em>mixes different approaches to performance. This includes the \u2018Cypher\u2019, an improvisational structure typical of Street Dance, with participatory performance, in which the audience and performers merge into the same function.<\/p>\n

Melting Pot<\/em> takes the shape of workshops and classes that usually end with an improvisation session open to the public, which naturally turns into the vibrant atmosphere of a party.<\/p>\n

How it works<\/strong>
\n<\/span>The workshop takes place over two days and lasts about 3 hours for each meeting.<\/p>\n

When and where
\n<\/strong><\/span>The workshop takes place at Palazzetto dei Nobili:
\nFriday<\/strong> 13<\/strong>th September<\/strong> 2 to 5pm
\nSaturday<\/strong> 14<\/strong>th September<\/strong>\u00a02 to 5pm<\/p>\n

How to participate<\/strong>
\n<\/span>In order to register you must fill in an online form by Monday\u00a09<\/strong>th September.<\/strong>
\nThe registration to the workshop will be confirmed by Tuesday 10th September.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Requirements<\/strong><\/span>
\nWe ask attendants to participate to both days of the workshop and the final performance<\/strong> that will take place on the 14th September at 9:30pm. For further info on the final event: Melting Pot Jam sessio<\/a>n<\/a><\/p>\n
