{"id":6654,"global_id":"maxxilaquila.art\/en\/?id=6654","global_id_lineage":["maxxilaquila.art\/en\/?id=6654"],"author":"10","status":"publish","date":"2022-03-31 13:22:16","date_utc":"2022-03-31 11:22:16","modified":"2022-04-29 19:35:07","modified_utc":"2022-04-29 17:35:07","url":"https:\/\/maxxilaquila.art\/en\/event\/claudia-pajewski-maxxilaquila-eng\/","rest_url":"https:\/\/maxxilaquila.art\/en\/wp-json\/tribe\/events\/v1\/events\/6654","title":"Claudia Pajewski","description":"<h3><span style=\"color: #bc982f;\">From prehistoric to contemporary, a journey through time through the words and work of artist Claudia Pajewski<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>The fossil skeleton of <em>Mammuthus meridionalis<\/em>, , the most important prehistoric find in the Abruzzo National Museum&#8217;s collection and one of the best-preserved and most complete specimens in the world, was found in 1954 at the former Santarelli kiln, a quarry where clay was extracted near Madonna della Strada di Scoppito, in the province of L&#8217;Aquila.<\/p>\n<p>On the occasion of the exhibition <a href=\"https:\/\/maxxilaquila.art\/en\/event\/in-itinere-eng\/\"><strong>In itinere<\/strong><\/a>, <strong>Claudia Pajewski<\/strong> meets the public in conversation with <strong>Massimo Sandal<\/strong>, author of the book <em>La malinconia del mammut. Specie estinte e come riportarle in vita<em>, to discuss the <strong>Bias<\/strong> project, a commission developed in collaboration with <strong>MUNDA<\/strong>, which uses photography to analyse both the scientific aspects and the symbolic and iconic value that the Mammoth represents for the city.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p>The title of the project (from the English &#8220;prejudice&#8221;, &#8220;distortion&#8221;) refers to the missing tusk of the Mammoth: this absence becomes an emblem of imbalance, marking a fracture in ancient times that links our fragility to that of the prehistoric animal and reminding us &#8211; as Sandal says in his book dedicated to the history of the great extinctions &#8211; that on Earth nothing is forever.<\/p>\n<p>Introduced and moderated by<br \/>\n<strong>Fanny Borel<\/strong> MAXXI L&#8217;Aquila Curatorial Office<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 22px;\">in conversation with the artist<\/span><br \/>\n<strong>Massimo Sandal<\/strong> writer and scientific journalist<\/p>\n<p><strong>Claudia Pajewski<\/strong> is a professional photographer specialised in ADV portraits, street and theatre scene photography.
